Will I ever update again?

I shake my magic eight ball and it reads "future is uncertain."

I haven't updated anything in about a year, but that is because I have been extremely busy with school and other aspects of life. A lot of stuff has been going on and I just haven't found the time or desire to create pixel art on the computer - But wow, guys. I am still so surprised to log in and see that people still like my pixel art. I thought my account would wither away into the shadows once I stopped updating. Not that I am complaining - I love the fact that people are still enjoying it.


Using my Stuff:
With that said, I have been getting a few notes here and there about using my work in other works of art. There are some things I am more than willing to let you use (be it with dolls, computer graphics, whatever) - just let me know what it is and how you want to use it. As long as you aren't distorting or cutting up my pixel arts and slapping it on some crappy myspace glitter piece of shit (and as long as you credit hurr hurr) I'll probably be okay with it. Don't hesitate to contact me, for although I slither amongst the hidden and forgotten ally ways of DeviantArt with the beasties, I still log in on a regular basis to check notes - if not to just lurk and favorite (without commenting) awesome pieces of art.

Anyway, I have created some interesting things in the traditional art classes I have taken, but since the canvases are so large, it's a bit difficult to scan and I don't have a digital camera. Perhaps in the future I will be able to update with some of those. Maybe then people will realize that I can indeed create art outside of the pixel realm, even. Boy howdy.

I don't think I'll be updating for a little while, but I just wanted to post (for those that actually remember me and care) letting you all know I am still around and I DO read all of the comments left on my deviations. Aaaaaaaaall of them - and sometimes I even reply! :woot:

It's that time again...to feature YOU!

I did this in :icontibodinjay:'s journal. and in return I am supposed to do it in mine - which I love doing anyway. I have been bored on DA lately so humor me?

Comment in this journal saying you would like to be featured and I will take a gander through your gallery and pick three deviations that I like best. (If you have three entries...I will just have to put those up and that completely defies the whole point, yes?)

It has been almost a month since I have updated anything new.
I haven't created anything new, so that makes perfect sense! :D

If you're expecting another "artist block" post. you're absolutely right. :cookie:

I honestly haven't been in any sort of artistic mood. I have ideas, but no motivation to sit and actually draw them out. I haven't even felt like doodling or making any new jewelry. I realize how easily I get into these artist blocks, ruts, or what have you as you all have experienced from time to time. I haven't just up and left. For those I watch, I do look at your deviations and even though I haven't been commenting (I haven't been active here, in general - oh the waste of a subscription!) I have saved some that I do plan on commenting on soon.

Well, since this entry wasn't very interesting (are they ever? He he) I have featured some art that you can feast on with your eyes. Check these artists and pieces out. ;)

.:Summer + 10,000! + Art Hiatus:.

I have decided to take a short art break form DeviantART. Don't worry, this isn't one of those drama filled "I HATE YOU DA!" posts, or anything. Or maybe I'm sorry for that because I personally find those type of entries amusing. I don't know about you guys...

First of all, I haven't been in the mood to do any art lately. I haven't been feeling as artistic as I normally do, so that's why I have been neglecting DA as a whole. I even let my subscription run out (As much as I love those spiffy and convenient features) and I don't want to buy another one until I know I'm going to be active. What a waste that would be, ya know? (I am editing an older entry for this so I can keep my awesome shark layout on my front page, though! Haha.) I will try harder to reply to my watch list and friends. I'm sorry that I haven't been doing that as much as I feel I should.

In other news, I am taking a Summer semester. I can hear you all cringe at that, but I don't really mind Summer semesters and I am taking a drawing course where I will be drawing more realistic subjects and...still life. Realism is totally stepping out of my box, but I think this is good. I think it will help me improve my art skills in the end. :nod:

Also, I finally reached 10,000 pageviews! I completely forgot that I was near that mark until I checked and I then saw it had already happened. I seem to have been getting a lot of :+fav"s on my sushi piece lately. Like, a lot. I find that kind of surprising that this particular pixel art seems to be getting the most attention, but I am very happy so many people like it. :)

Anyway, I won't be inactive forever. I am hoping this drawing class will inspire me to start drawing more traditional pieces at the very least. If I'm not too embarrassed to post some of my realism/still life, I definitely will. xD

I will try to log in daily to check notes and view some lovely art - and I can still be found on MSN, o' course.

So, I was working on a pixel earlier (Yesterday? Yes. I believe it was yesterday.) and it was coming along splendidly. I minimized it in my program and went about doing something else. When I returned, a large amount of time had passed and I had kind of forgotten abou it. Then I had to reboot, so...I rebooted. Gort back online, diddle-daddled here and there and decided that I wanted to go back to working on my pixel but....JASC wasn't open...I had rebooted without saving! How could I BE so stupid? Ahhhhhh. Oh yes, I am ften guilty of working on something without saving often. You'd think after a couple of screw ups like this, I'd learn. Guess not...I'm a rebel!

Tell me your stories about neglecting to save, so I don't feel so bad. :lmao:

Also, quick question.
Do any of you guys use LiveJournal? I have just recently been reunited with my LiveJournal. It was interesting looking back at the old entries and comments left by other people.

If you have one, let me know! I don't have many friends over there and I would like to ad some of my friends here ova there. Comment or note me if you do. :nod:
